Cauliflour Mash.

1-2 heads of cauliflour steamed. Keep warm.
Salt to your taste
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tblsp butter melted
1/4-1/2 cup of Soy or Almond milk

Place all ingredients with the exception of milk into a large enough bowl and proceed to mash using a potato ricer. Mash until the consistency of mashed potato. Add milk and continue to blend. Taste for flavor. Add salt if needed. You can also add a pinch of cayenne or nutmeg if desired. This is an excellent replacement for potatoes and for children you can mix half potatoes and half cauliflour to blend. Reduce your calories and increase your nutritional intake.

a bundle of Romain Lettuce
4 fresh ripened Tomatoes
1 large grated Carrot
2 washed and scrubbed Cucumbers
a handful of Radishes sliced
3/4 cup of chopped Walnuts or sliced Almonds.

Wash all your vegetable ingredients before chopping or slicing. Build your salad starting with the lettuce and top with the nuts. Place a hearty serving onto your plate and by hearty I mean 1/2 of your plate, before adding anything else. Adding green foods to your diet adds nutrition and increases your chances of weight reduction. Why not try some today.
 
 
3 medium sized sweet potatoes (boiled and cubed)
1 medium sweet pepper chopped
1/4 cup olive oil
1 clove garlic finely minced
1 tblsp chopped cilantro or parsley
1/3 cup chopped red onions
1/4 tsp sea salt

Method:
Blend olive oil, garlic, salt and red onions well. Mix sweet peppers or any other vegetables you would like into the sweet potatoes. Add olive oil dressing and toss until well covered. Serve with your favourite meal.

1 1/2 cups Natural brown rice
1/2 cup dried cranberries
1/2 cup toasted pecans
1/2 cup chopped parsley
2 tbsps olive oil
3/4 tsps sea salt

Method:
Add rice to salted boiling water and steam until cooked. Lightly toast the pecans in a hot pan. In another pan add olive and warm. Do not heat until smoking. Add cranberries, pecans to the warm olive oil and saute'. Add cooked rice to the mix and toss. Add parsley and toss some more.
Serve warm with your favourite beans and a fresh tossed salad.
